Painting Zenair 1450 Amphib. Floats
The floats are being painted with Interlux Protect 2002E epoxy primer (white) and will then be painted with Interlux #V127/127 High Performance Expoxy White paint. This is premium boat paint, designed to be on boat hulls under water. Floats are sort of like a boat :>) 4 quarts of primer + 2 quarts of top coat paint. Of course adding paint adds weight as well... time for "Ballast Bob" to go on a diet :>( Note - HVLP spray unit used and breathing air mask as paints have nasty chemical in them.
