David,

The prop clearance is about 6" in this particular 601HD. Is that normal? I don't know, but the nose bungee seems to be sufficiently stiff to keep the prop from getting much closer to the ground. In this particular photo,  it does look like less because the ground was somewhat soft and the grass had not been mowed for a while. But just as with any tricycle aircraft, I always make it a point to keep full back stick while taxiing around, especially in grass.
