Jabiru 3300 through bolts
I am working to close a deal on a 601 with a 3300. I knew that there was the bulletin regarding crank-case through bolts but had thought I could deal with them fairly easily even if they had not been replaced -- just pull them out one at a time and put new ones in. However, looking at the engine diagrams, it looks like there is no way to replace them without tearing the engine complete down. It appears that there is a flange on each bolt that fits between the crank halves. Is this…See More

Transporting 601 xlb fuselage

Hi all,
My family and I are moving 31 miles. I need to transport my 601xlb. The fuselage is on the gear. I seem to remember seeing a picture of someone transporting a 601 on a uHaul trailer. Looking at the trailers they have, I conclude that it must have been a wheels up car hauler I saw used. As the main is over 7ft wide, none of the other trailers are wide enought.
Any ideas? Picture would be great.
