Hi Cliff, welcome to the club!! My only advise is to work on it every day if at all possible. At times throughout my build I have gone a month or more without doing anything. It makes it hard to get back motivated and fired up again. I'm nearing the end of my build now so it really is starting to pick up steam. Wondering what you are going to use for a power plant? I went the alternate engine rout and had it running and almost ready to taxi but with all the tinkering I had to do to get things just right I could have saved years off the build time and just went with the usual Lycoming. I still may go with a traditional engine..Jury is still out on that one..Well good luck!! Let me know if I can answer any questions..Kay C.
Congrats on your jump! I will help answer any questions you have on the build, (if I can). The first nugget I can think of would be to explore the possibility of replacing the aileron cables with push-pull rods. I think it would make for much smoother and lighter aileron control.
Good Luck
