Hi Dale, thanks for your note. I don't normally do social media so I will no doubt be clunky at it. Not long after buying my 601 kit Zenith came out with the modification that turned my 50% kit into a -50% kit, and coupled with the onset of congestive heart failure I lost my medical certificate and most of my energy for kit building. In fact, I'd love to find someone who wants this kit. It has a Jabiru 3300 engine. I have a commercial, instrument, multi engine, glider certificate but no medical. That limits me to gliders but I have problems with altitude which is limiting. The short story is, due to all this I haven;t flown anything in over ten years. I have a couple of hours in two different 601s and both seemed to fly well and as expected which was a big part of why I picked the kit. I have about 2000 hours of mostly business flying and a couple-hundred in gliders and found the 601 to be comfortable -- as a pilot friend said, "flys just like an airplane". As I recall, the sink rate was a bit more than someone used to GA trainers might expect but not alarmingly so. I'm 74 and retired now and think about owning a glider every now and then. I miss flying, it was a big part of my life. Over the years I owned a Cessna 140, part of a V35B, a Mooney 201, and a Starduster. Additionally, I flew a lot of FBO rentals. If there's anything I can do help you please feel free to ask.
Again, thanks for the note!
