Mr Marshall,
Thank you for responding. Sorry to read that you are no longer flying the CH701. So encouraging to read about your positive experience flying behind a BMW. It's sounding like the tidiest package for powering a CH701.
Is the original builder still available to contact?
I will follow up on the links you sent and continue on this new adventure.
On a different note, did you experience the STOL characteristics reported by the Zenith website and the multitude of videos out there?
Dear Mr Marshall,
I'm contemplating the purchase of a CH701 without the FWF. The use of a BMW motorcycle engine has intrigued me for quite some time but now with this opportunity I've noticed that there are a few aircraft with this combination that are flying. From what I can tell you are the only one in North America so I decided to reach out to you. I read a very favorable comment you posted so I assume that opinion still holds. What would be very valuable to me and other like builders would be any caution, advice, specific years and models of motorcycle, gear reduction options and endless other matters that you have already wrestled with.
I'm simply reaching out to see if you would be willing to entertain questions as they come up.
Best regards.
Ivan
