Hi Ed,
From your profile picture, it looks like we have more in come than just the RV-8. I flew the SH-3H Sea King in the Navy many moons ago. I think HMX-1 and Trump are the only ones still flying in it. My kids have no clue what I did, so I have to point to the helo on the White House lawn.
I'll let you know if I pull the trigger on the SAM. I hate to ditch the RV, especially considering the huge builder support system in place, but it seems like it's more likely that the SAM might actually get finished. The RV is a tight fit for me which weighs in favor of the SAM. Thinking of going to the factory for a demo flight and workshop--I'm about a 6 hr drive away.
Would love to hear if anyone is actually building one and what are their thoughts. I'll email Zenith and let you know what I hear.
