Tow bar...
I'd like to build a tow bar. I have the lugs bolted to the nose gear but no bar... any pics of what your using?See More
Today was a good day
Managed to move through almost all of my sqwak list today and the condition inspection is signed off so we're pretty much ready to rock. A few things ... I'll be addressing the panel this winter along with cleaning and doing something with the paint. It'll get a 406 and an intercom next week. In any case I'm pretty stoked, tomorrow should be fun.See More

Couple a things
Can someone help me out with the link to the plans site? We're re-plumbing this 801 for 1/2" fuel lines. Also, I'd like to look the plans over to see if there is a bung on the front of the tanks (4) to run a forward supply from. It appears there weren't any in the initial build. See More

Beanie mods
I've seen quite a bit of beanie mod documentation on the 701's but nothing on the 801's. Has it been done? I've used the search function, if it's there I'm not finding it. Not alot of activity in the 801 room either. See More

Dear Guy,, Congratulations on nearing completion of your CH-801, I took an unusual amout of time on mine as I didn't build on a regular basis but truly enjoyed building it along with the challenges that come with installing a new style engine. I installed engine # 5 off the Jabiru 8 cylinder line of 180 Hp and used a Craig Catto 3-blade fixed custom prop. I managed to develop about 800# of thrust on a plane that only weighed 1250. Needless to say I was unable to hold it with full brakes at only partial trhottle and it went up like a rocket!
Did not see your choice of engines but wish you the best success, if there are any questions I can help with please feel free to drop me a note, will tell you only that which I know to be fact!
I donated my airplane to the Wisconsin Aviation Academy for the kids to learn to fly but he sold it to F&F out of Oklahoma before the kids could make good use of it. Have not been able to get any replies from my inquires to F&F however so do not know the current status of the plane, I do however have a number of photos if theywould be helpful.
