Sorry that that plane didn't work out for you. I didn't build my 601. I'm about the 4th owner. It's a great plane. I bought it to take lessons for sport pilot. Only problems I've had is my kit was from when they were built in the Czech Republic. So current parts don't fit 100%. I wanted to replace my brakes but my mechanic had to have some parts made so he could mount them. My rudder was damaged when a tornado touched down at the airport last year. Could have gotten away with just reskinning it but the new rudder had all the holes pre-drilled and none of them lined up with my existing frame. My regular A&P didn't want to build a new one so he farmed it out to someone who did a great job. Luckily it was all covered by insurance. If you ever want to take a ride in mine just let me know.
