Prepping for inspection

Been working on avionics for the past few months. Wiring isn't pretty as I'd like but functionally its solid. I'll be ready to rivet the dash once my new throttle cable arrives. The one I was going to use was a "cut to length" and I just wasn't comfortable with the set up on a push throttle. Got my prop from the Ukraine. Now waiting for extended hub, bolts, and lugs. I'll have to move the plane to a temporary store facility for final assembly and inspection. Will there be any issues with it not…See More

Aero 701 engine mount

Aeromomentum engine mount doesn't fit. Anyone had trouble with the engine mount from aeromomentum fitting on the 701. I ordered and recieved it and it has several issues around the top front gear mount. everything is 20 mm too low. The side tabs hit the bottom of the front brace. No problem I can cut those but now the bars are hitting the front of the brace. to fix this I'll have to cut two relief notches for the bars to pass. Haven't contacted aero yet. it's like they have their plans or jig…See More

Twiddling my thumbs

Ordered the finishing kit for my 701. They said it won't ship until late September. Building an airplane requires a lot of inspiration and motivation maintenance as it is. We've all heard of the high percentage of projects that take more than a decade or never get completed. I am dedicated and determined to my project in spite of the odds. I would like to drop a line in the old suggestion box if I could. Zenith please be more informative with your orders with regards to pricing and shipping.…See More
