John, I have now static tested the setup with the water flowing from the engine to the water radiator through the small size Laminova heat exchanger and the oil being sucked from the reservoir through the Laminova by the oil-pump. No problems experienced and the oil and water temperatures tracked better than ever. Great for wintertime, but the real acid test will be a warm summer day with a long taxi before takeoff from a lake with high shoreline trees. Will post a pic on my page of the setup during the test run. Rgrds Max
Well, the oil is cooled by the small Laminova through which the water flows. The water radiator is standard Rotax issue. I will test run my engine tomorrow and do not expect any problems. Another 701 friend Juha Vestman (also with an 912ULS) having this cooling setup reports he has no cooling problems, not even during water taxi on floats. An added benefit he says is that during cold winter days the oil and water temperatures will reach the minimum limits faster and also simultaneously. Rgrds, Max

I'd love to buy finished wings but I don't think the wallet will support that option. It is a total pain having to rebuild parts that you have built to the best of your ability in the first place. I'm annoyed as Zenith have dragged their feet over this issue and have consistently said 'No problem with our design' . Now this, a lot of extra work.

The mount has three small bolts that go down into the panel cover. I have two of the bolts just going into the cover with nila-nuts under the panel cover. The third bolt, in the front runs down into a nut plate which was already in place for attaching the panel cover to the panel. It seems solid enough.

I have to agree with your assessment of the Y stick. I found myself trying to hold steady with my left hand while reaching for things with my right. I tried to get it trimmed and keep heading with rudder pressure. It works until you hit a real good bump.
