Lynn,
Thanks for getting back. We met at Sun N Fun this year. I misplaced your email address that you gave me. I hope to start my project some time in the near future but for now I will save towards my project.
I was an AFS student to Brazil in 1975 and we spoke about you hosting AFS students and the adventures that one has with being involved with AFS.
Well any way. I soled in June and then had a medical set back which I'm still recovering from. Hope to resume my training for S.P by the end of July.
If your are in the Clearwater, FL area please let me know so we can meet. Email is pcarley@verizon.net.
Have a great day.
Phil'
It was a pleasure to meet you at Zenith on Sat. Thanks for the look see in the cowling and explaining your lift reserve set up.

I just got back into town from Co. Springs. The paper work is still up on the Goggle Picasa site. The links on my Dynamic Balance Comment are to pictures of experiments. In the document section download the 'How-to' paper that details what I did and an Excel spreadsheet showing the resultant graphs and calcs. There is a newer accelerometer chip xx335 at Sparkfun.com instead of the one I used but it should work as well.
I am excited about the tow bar.
I'll let you know about using a test pilot after next weekends lessons.
A friend of mine is buying a really nice PA16, That is a tailwheel airplane. He will be going to Brokenstraw on Sunday to see about tailwheel lessons. We will pop in to the Corry airport too.
I am hoping that I will gain enough confidence in flying the 601 when I go away next week for lessons, that I will be able to be the test pilot. If not, I will need to talk to the guy that did the first flight in yours.
I'll see you at Sun-N-Fun.
We are moving the last parts to Meadville on Saturday morning.
I hope to be taxiing (Sp.?) in a week. I am going to LA to do a few hours in a 601XL with an instructor to get a feel for the airplane on the 21st.
