Yes, I designed and build them. I followed ideas from a number of other designs. I also read the report completed in 1947 on ski design by the National Research Council of Canada - "The Snow Characteristics of Aircraft Skis". by George J. Klein. It is available on the internet (free) by Googling the title. They are lighter than most skis - 20 pounds each for the mains and 21 pounds for the nose including all attach hardware. I have been test flying them. I need to increase the height of the forward tip by an inch to help the tips climb on top of the snow and I need to increase the nose up flight attitude by about a degree or two. I hope to make these changes this week and test them again this weekend.
