Hi Peter, yes I'm still going with the C-85, I hope it turns out well. I trimmed as much off as possible on weight and was about 207lb dry before I mounted the engine.
give me a call if you have questions, David 360-670-9725 Pacific time
Hi Peter, I'm in Fort Frances.
Peter,
I am having to repair the float attachments before proceding with further tweaking of the engine installation so I don't have additional information right now.

Hi Peter, Thanks for the friend request. Do you already have the engine?? if not I would consider the UL power engine. The continental is a good engine but about 35 lbs. too heavy, burns a lot of fuel. I have 4 tanks so I could have a decent range. Currently trying to solve cooling problems. On the positive side I like the dependability of the Continental and also the cost, with new cylinders and a complete overhaul the engine is about half of the Rotax. Also the build was more difficult and time consuming .Hope this helps.
hope you enjoy your 701 and the repair process
