The jabiru is easier to maintain than the rotax. I attended a jabiru workshop in Arizona(USA). there a good and bad about any engine you install. Rotax doesn't allow
you to do anything to their motor. I am not putting down rotax. I am installing a 2200 Jab in my 701. The jab is lighter than the EA-81. jab is 139 lbs complete.

Did you get the weight and balance data from your plane ? This is one very usefull piece of info. Also, nice to have some pictures so we can see how yours was done. I'll put together infos frm my plane so we can compare.

I wish you the all the best with your project. If you ever get the chance to visit the Zenith factory please take the time to stop by our builder assist facility too. We are their newest and nearest builder assist facility and like to have visitors. We are right here in Mexico, Mo., not far from the factory.
