- I've always dreamed of building my own airplane. I began flying in 1995 but stopped just after solo to report for US Army Basic training. I did not return to flying until 2007 when I completer my Private Pilot SEL rating. Flying has been minimal since due to cost of renting. I'm a mid-level operations manager for Tyson Foods, Inc. I fell in love with the Zenith STOL aircraft when attending Airventure 2011 (my first OshKosh trip). My wife who was initially skeptical attended the rudder workshop with me and is now as fired up as I am! my 3 y/o daughter thinks it's pretty cool too.
