Anyone use a Becker radio?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Tim Treat Aug 26, 2011. 6 Replies

I've got my eye on the AR-6201 with true dual channel monitoring. I am wondering if anyone uses the Becker radio. It's small and light, maybe too small? Is visibility an issue in a low wing aircraft?

I am thinking about traveling from California to Oshkosh this year. Do the vendors offer special show pricing? I am specifically interested in engine/fwf and avionics deals.  Continue

Started my lessons

I started on my sport pilot license with Paul Hamilton in Carson City, NV. I sold a street rod and have a pile of cash to buy a kit but am taking my time with that decision. I am going to get my license first and then decide on a project.

If possible, info appreciated as i view just now that J. Snyder also inquired Bing vs. TBI. Just completing 601XLB, winter here, will attach wings, fuel lines, Spring time. I have the earlier 3300 #485, am interested in the T.B.I. Is the -40 available thru Sonex, or Aerovee. Now would be the time for me to do it, in that will be flyable in April. Can review info you suggest-like your area, low humidity here (rare carb. ice, but CHT's, issue w/earlier Jab., as like others, A/C completed, not painted, when B mods necessary, thereby just painted. Hence, know of Aerovee carb. for $400 I was considering-T.B.I. well received when time permits. Thanks.

Tim,

I just ordered a JAB 3300 for my CH 650.  Can you give me info about why you picked TBI-40 over Bing carb?
