Hi Tim- Falcon had my heads for 9 months- total cost $$1613.28 That was head rebubuild and low profile tubes, an exhaust,. tube spark plug thread and valve cover bolt thread repair.
Shipping and packing also. An earlier comment to you told of my receiving distributor from WW. Got intake and nose bowl elsewhere. Nose bowl flanges are a poor fit. Still need to order exhaust and front spinner bulkhead from ? not sure yet.
Looks like other builders have problems - Flightcrafters. Business and economy must be good.
My Corvair build is at point of no return- when finished I may sell and go Lycoming.
Keep in touch- Fred
Hi Tim Finally got my cylinder heads back from Falcon. Ordered some parts from Clarks
and Summit to finish up the block. Maybe I'll get the engine together after all
Keep in touch- Fred
congratulations Tim
You will never forget that day the examiner signed you off
Fred
Sorry I didn't get back to you. Sent WW email saying i would file charges- one hour later I had response and 4 days later I received distributor. Major parts I need yet are exhaust and prop bulkhead. Will plan on ordering elsewhere. other parts from Clarks or Corvair Ranch- 15 miles from me. I may also decide to sell corvair engine- too much hassle- and install Lyc 0-235. Good luck on checkride- one hint - my examiner rested his hand on panel so I could not read instruments- told him I needed to see panel.

Tim - sent WW email asking once again on status of my dist. He refuses to comunicate. just sent WW another email that if he doesn't complete order I am going to file charges
Fred
Tim I was wondering if you ever received your parts from WW? What parts does he owe you? I have not heard from him yet on my dist. Now going over 6 months. Going to give him one more email for a chance to respond. Ordered nose bowl and intake from Dan on 9-10 UPS delivered on 10-1
Good luck to you - keep in touch
Fred
Tim
Even if WW is planning on "stock-piling " cylinder heads, I would still think twice on contracting head rebuilds to him. He cannot be depended on. Lack of customer service and respect. If Dan can have somebody do them - that would be the way to go.
spend the money and ship your heads to him. I am going to wait till WW is back from ZAC -CC#30- and then try to find out if he is going to send my distributor. Have already emailed him but he refuses to answer. It will then be 6 months on the order. After that my options may get nasty.

Am I correct reading that Dan W. will do cyl. head rebuilds. He assembled a new crank and cam in my block. I just made order for a nose bowl and intake from him (flywithspa.com) If at all possible- I am not going to order the last few parts from WW. I don't want to get out any more money with him. If I have to purchase another ser of core cylinders- Corvair Ranch is only 15 miles from me. Wish I would have decided on a different engine- Lycoming.
Keep in touch- Fred
congrats on you finally making contact with Mark and WW. Mark has never replied to my emails and once by phone for me to send heads. At least I have receipt showing my heads were signed for. WW has not responded to my emails since 6-18. Asked him what problem was with sending dist. no response on his intentions. I wish I could be at CC #30 to confront him. He makes the game rules but doesn't play by them.
Fred
