Unfortunately I am of no help to you here. I've inspected the bungee that was installed when I purchased it, and it is in good condition so I haven't looked into that claim.
I'd be happy to take a look at the ad and see if I can contribute any more information. I absolutely love my 701 and have had it torn apart and back again.
