2 1/4" Instrument panel holes

I was wondering, what folks are using to cut the holes in the instrument panel to place round gauges.

I need to cut 3 2 1/4" holes and only want to do it once.

Please share what you are using and or method.

Thanks,

Christening Aircraft???

On a side note!

If so, what is the tradition and cerimonial procedures?

Somethnig for fun,

Rich

Nose Gear - 601 vs. 650

It seems to me I read somewhere that the Nose gear tube length (height) changed for the 650 vs. the 601 or at some point there was a change.

Can anyone tell me if this is true?

Thanks for your help!

FYI, after I close my LH wing up this week, I can now call my 601XL a 601XLB.

Wasnt that fun!

Glad the rebuild is over and now I am off to finishing and maybe hearing it run this fall.

Again, thanks…

MGL Enigma

Any folks out there using the MGL Enigma?
Tell me about your experiences if you don't mind.

I'm soon to start wiring and any experience you can share would be helpful.

Thanks,
Rich

Prospective Camera's

Are any of you guys aware of a permanently mountable camera that could go in the wing or somewhere in the cockpit area.

Requirements would be to shoot extended video times (!hour or so), small, perhaps the lenses potion mountable in the wings or a given location and then wired to hardware in the cockpit. Something along that line!

Thoughts?

I could always swipe my wife's hard disk camera but, . . .

Cowling and air ducts

Question for those with cowl fitment experience.

I have fit my airducts using the shapes they came with for a guide

They fit well or I thought.

Now I am fitting the cowl to the engine and the ducts

do not fit the cowl both in height and side to side in the

area of the duct inlet or opening.

My question is did any of you have to trim the ducts shape for both

length and the sape to control height.

Can you share with me what you had… Continue
