The QSP spring flyi-n is now history - it was great!

We had a big group of Zenith flyers and builders attending this year.  Lori & I would like to thank all in attendance.

Sebastien could not be here so he sent Roger out again as the Zenith representative. As usual Roger gave 150% of his time and effort answering questions about the new Cruzer along with demo flying the QSP Zenith CH 750.

Just a note to let all know that Quality Sport Planes your west coast reps for Zenith Aircraft will not be at the Arlington air show this year do to illness. Will still be taking calls for any reason at QSP in Cloverdale CA  it will be business  as usual. Next scheduled airshow will be at Copper state Ar. in Oct. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to any of our customers. 

 Just a quick reminder we are 2 days away from our fall fly-in so get your Zeniths ready to go and come be a part of the builder and flyers that are coming into Cloverdale this Saturday for a lot of visiting and gabbing about the impossible things that they did this summer. Will have a BBQ lunch put on by the Cloverdale Lions  club so bring a couple of bucks or so. One week to go for the west coast open hanger day at Quality Sport Planes in Cloverdale CA (O60) we have had good responce so should be a good day.  Weather looks great so come join us at QSP as usuall there will be a bbq by the Lions Club plenty of Zenith planes and pilots along with Sebastien & Roger. Hi all   we will be at Rick's event with our ch750 STOL we hope to have about 5 aircraft flying down from northern calif for this first STOL gathering all Zenith are welcome. Tlhose of you that have not been able to see a flying CH750 are welcome to drive to the event or to fly-in.

Hi all just talked to the factory and yes there is damage to some of our aircraft but the good news is no zenith  people were hurt. I'm sure  Sebastion  will make a more indepth report later.

Its spring time and our open house is coming up on May 8th. We would like to invite all who can fit this into there schedule to attend. This year it will be on May 8th there will be a BBQ put on by the Cloverdale pilots association and the city of Cloverdale. We will have a few Zenith kits being worked on here and a 801 that is powered by a 6cyl subaru, Chris Desmond (STOL ADVENTRUES) well be here with his new 701 stol and we will have Stephen Smith with his cross county (everywhere) 601 XL.…

Just to make sure on your Elsa certificate you need to check your phase two limitations to see if indeed you do have paragraph 13 in it if you do you must contact your FSDO if you do not have it you should be okay. We at QSP have it in my 601xl but our 701 and our other 601 does not all with ELSA certificates so check your limitations first . Hopefully you will not have that paragraph.

Seems like it never stops. Just found out that our ELSA certificates will expire on Jan 31st of 2010 even if they say unlimited on the certificate. According to my local FSDO contact if you look in your phase two of your flight limitations par. 13 it states (no person may operate this aircraft for compensation or hire,except this aircraft may be used for compensation or hire to conduct flight training in accordance with 91.319 until January 31 2010, at which time this airworthiness certificate… Continue

Qsp attended a flyin at Fall River Mills last sunday a pancake feed and did they feed us. Eggs cooked to order extra large ham slice great pancakes and a host of freindly flyers. We had two xl's there and our demo 701 stol. Brad Demeo and Steve Smith were the xl owners. The show was over at 2: oclock after departing Steve left to go find more airports that he has not landed at. Golden west flyin has come and gone as most things do. Lori and I at QSP were able to host a number of builders and flyers that brought their planes in. Christopher Desmond had his STOL 801 on display for friday and saturday next to him was Woody Harris with his corvair powered 601xl. Bob Hathaway came down from Chico CA with his pearl white 601xl powered by a jab 3300.
