Nice picture, and great to hear that you're happy with your XLB.

 

Tomah must be beautiful at cranberry time.  Between that, and then the fall colors, it's a beautiful area.  I grew up about 150 miles north of there, but have not yet seen the cranberry fields from the air.

I too have an O235 in my 601XLB. I have E mag electronic ignition, and an Ellison throttle body. Mine is a 0235L2C

I have the Warp drive 3 bladed prop, and two fuel pumps. One electric, and the other is Mechanical. I had to send my accesory case out to have it machined so that I could use the mechanical fuel pump.

I have not flown mine since I did the upgrade. I was in the process of painting it when I ran out of nice weather.

I have not flown mine off grass yet, but I am sure that it will not be a problem.

The upgrade makes me feel better about flying the airplane. When I was getting it inspected by the FAA the inspector liked my airplane, but warned me about its safety record. That really slowed me down. I did fly it some, but not like I could have. Now that the upgrade is in place I am ready to go.

I can't wait until the nice weather is back so I can fly it again.
