Does anyone have any ideas on how to balance the elevator stick back pressure

I don't know if it was wise but I used a bungee cord from the control horn to the cross member in the rear fuse to take up some of pressure so the stab does not feel as heavy when not in motion. Have not flown with this installed but it worked well on my Minimax so am going to try it. It is very easy to remove if it makes the elevator feel to light in flight.

Hamish, 

If your question is about the unbalanced elevator on the ground or below flying speed - I'm not aware of any way (or need) to balance it. Once you are flying, the forward stick/down elevator pressure disappears. When I'm in cruise mode - the airplane will fly hands off for a long time. The trim tab is almost neutral when it is trimmed for cruise.
