Below is the flight log from my Garmin 196, the time away was 14 days I logged 4478 nm and 48.9 hrs

Day 1 was the 28 May 2010 and we flew from Bendigo-Swan Hill-White Cliffs 379nm 4.4 hrs. The weather was marginal but once in the air and heading north the cloud lifted and within the hour we had broken clouds.

Day 2 saw and early start it was going to be a long day

White Cliffs-Cameron Corner-William Creek-Oodnadatta 515 nm 6.2 hrs. All day we had head winds 15-20kts the landing at Oodnadatta was a welcome relief knowing the longest day was at last over.

Day 3 Oodnadatta-Dalhousie Springs- Curtin springs 290nm, 2.7 flight hrs

After the last day this was nice and short with an unexpected surprise at Dalhousie Springs

A great days flying blue skies and tail wings

Day 4 Curtin Springs-Ayers Rock-Tilmouth Well 301nm 3.2 flight hrs
This was a day for the sights Ayers Rock, the Olgers, Kings Canyon and the McDonnell Ranges
Tilmouth Well One to the best overnight stop with food well worth the days of flying.

Day 5 Tilmouth Well - Rabbit - Wolf Creek Crater - Halls Creek 436 nm 4.5 flight hrs
As they say in Queensland beautiful one day, perfect the next. The flying conditions where just perfect
Overcast with a cloud base of 6000ft and a small tail wing

Day 6 Halls Creek - Bellburn - Kununurra 224 nm 1.5hrs flight time Nice Tailwind today.

We fly to the Bungle Bungles and land at Bellburn Airstrip for a day of sightseeing in a Bitumen Boeing there are times that you need to see things from the ground.

Day 7 was a day for rest.

Day 8 Kununurra - Emkaytee (Darwin NT) 137 nm 2.7 hrs flight time
Just a short days flying but a lot of sightseeing as we are flying up the coast to Darwin for a 2 night stopover
Great weather

Hi Allan & Eddie
Nice to see some pics of your epic adventure. It sure is dry out the back there compared to the Sunnshine Coast.
Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Phill
