Compass error fixed
Compass and Dynon both dead on West. Yeah!
Made this de-Gaussing coil by wrapping a bunch of magnet wire around a coffee can. I didn't make enough wraps to plug straight into the wall, coil got hot. Had to use the variac. This thing will magnetize or demagnetize a screw driver in an instant! You can feel the screw driver "growling" when it's on.
If you turn of the power with the metal in the field, viola, magnetized.
If you wave something through and take it away, de-magnetized!
I just waved the coil by the windshield tubing, and it is de-magnetized. In an instant. Perfect!
