After pulling my air riveter to bits and removing the 6 jammed rivet pins stuck in it, I riveted most of the skeleton together.  Didn't rivet the hinge pins, thought it might be easier to remove them to drill the holes for the split pins...

On to the rear skins next - can't wait.

Hi Marty.  Can I make a suggestion on your riveter?  Keep watching the allen bolts for tightness.  I had a couple of mine back out on me.  If let go, you can break the cast housing.  I too have had mine jam up on me with 5-8 rivets.  It seems that happens if you don't tip the head back so the exiting rivet can leave the chamber and go into the plastic catch bottle on the back.  One thing else, do NOT try using your riveter to pull any AS5 rivets.  These are the stainless steel ones.  They can and will break your riveter to pieces.  I found a good used Marson on eBay for $25.  It has the power to set any rivet.  Quite a few of the builders do use the Harbor Freight and just love them.  I'm just about done pulling rivets on my CH650-B and my riveter is still pulling rivets well.  Just pay close attention to the things I mentioned and you too should be able to wear this riveter out on your 3RD plane!

Hi Marty, your plane is sure looking good! I have an air riveter also and I have pulled at least 1000 rivets with it, I bought a cheap Harbor Frieght riveter and it has been great, a few times that it has malfunctioned, it has always just needed alittle oil. Literally a few drops and it started working perfectly. The oil I'm referring to goes into the "bottom" of the reviter when you take it apart (not the airline). Keep up the good job!
