Steve, I'm glad you pointed this out. I am installing my tank behind the instrument panel and so I can put a sight gauge on the panel. I already bought the sensor that you are using, and so I thought I would install it anyway, to come on at the half full mark, but now I think I will probably just skip it. Given that I will have the sight gauge, I think I'd rather not have a warning light, rather than have one that flickers.
Ken,
It could be the airplane bouncing around, but after shaking the sensor about, the mass of the float and magnet seem roughly equal. I'm betting on the turbulence in the tank being the culprit. If it proves I am wrong, I will try to install a larger (more buoyant) float on the sensor.
Steve
Hi Steve, I have the same low warning indicator. Have you confirmed that the flicker is the result of turbulence inside the tank, or could it be reacting to air turbulence bouncing the airplane around?
