Hey Doug. The benches are topped with 3/4" boards 4' x 8' and built on 2x6 frame with 4x4 legs. They are not actually attached to each other, the top tables just sit on the bottoms. This allows me to remove the tops to work at a lower level, handy when doing fuselages. When stacked, they provide storage. I built the top table to sit at 40" because I very tall. Shorter people would hate it :-) The are on casters so I can roll them around when needed, and the top tables can be bolted to each other to give one solid 16' table.
Looking good Todd; I'm admiring your workbenches too. What size did you go with - length, width and height. Would you do it differently if building another. Looks like you've tied two together, or am I just looking at the "join" on a single bench?
Doug
