My 750 stol kit is arriving monday .I am pretty excited about it. I am very impressed with the quality of the parts and the support I have received from zenith. I am hoping to have my strip done this fall but am not sure how wide to make it.I am thinking about 90 feet. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the feedback on runway width.I will probably go with about 75 feet.It is well sheltered from the wind.
Hi David,
Although I feel a little uncomfortable on my home field which is 40 ft wide, I'm quite comfortable on a field I practice at which is 50 ft wide. I'm not very good at landings, and do go to one airport with a 100 ft wide runway. That really seems excessive. I would think 50 or 60 would be more than adequate even if you're not good at landing. One good thing about a narrow runway....You definitely concentrate a little more on hitting the centerline. I also wouldn't make it any wider than some of the other airports you plan to fly to frequently.
Jim
The wider the better IMHO, gives you more forgiveness but at 90' you should be good! :) Have fun with the kit, I had a blast putting it together, very rewarding "hobby"! :)
