a friend has purchased a set for his Jabiru SK 2200 engine.

They came from Rotec Australia and look to be a good setup. They are being assembled at the moment and I haven't heard when they will be done.

The cabin heat is off a stainless muffler cuff, attaches with gear clamps...pictures posted on my page.

Is your cabin heat off of an exhaust muff or does it come from the liquid cooling system like in a car?

I have a liquid cooled Rotax 912 & 912S.. both have no problem keeping the cockpit warm at -20C to -30C. I do need to duct tape over the oil cooler to keep the oil in the proper temperature limits.

Which, now that I think more about it, raises even more questions about cabin heat.  A cooler engine means less heat for the cabin, but liquid cooling also means potentially a different source you could draw cabin heat from.  You could draw it from the liquid cooling system like in a car, instead of from the exhaust system.  Just a thought.

Looks very promising.  I wonder how it affects winter operations.

I heard yesterday that there are Twenty Nine hose clips holding the piping together :).

Buy the Rotax 912 engine, liquid cooled heads are factory standard equipment. "Sorry I could just not resist the oppourtunity to comment". ;>)
