I decided to create a mockup of the instrument panel.  I ended up needing to order the optional drawings to fabricate the center console mockup.  I would recommend getting these when you order the base plans as there are a few things in the optional plans that aren't quite so optional.

I set up the mockup with a center-mounted tiller control stick as per the plans.  However, I immediately noticed an issue when I tried to test out the ergonomics.  Since you grip the tiller with your right hand, all controls on the instrument panel have to be manipulated with your left. This means that reaching much past the center of the instrument panel is nearly impossible unless you switch hands on the tiller. The only solution to this that I can come up with is to cluster as many important controls within arms reach. I don't want to be constantly switching hands on the tiller during certain critical phases of flight such as takeoff and landing.  I could go with the dual stick option, but this will make ingress and egress more difficult.

It should be noted that the panel layout depicted is not the final design. It is just a boilerplate layout for testing. No decisions on avionics have been made and none will be made until it is time to purchase them.
