I took ownership of my new engine today. Now it's time to strip all the unwanted parts off and take a good look see.  Once I strip it down I will post a video with a walk around.  If anyone is like me, you have spent hours looking for a good video of the engine, or even good pictures.  This is a 2010 Honda Fit l15a7 engine.

I'd suggest looking for one locally using www.car-parts.com.    I believe what you want is a 2009-2013 engine that was came from a car with an automatic transmission.  You'll want the starter, alternator, coils, wiring harness when the pull the engine.

I paid 1175.00 for a complete engine with all accessories .  I did run a VIN check on engine and found out that is is NOT a 2010 with 12k miles like salvage yard said.  It is a 2011 with 17153 miles.  I found the old auction for this salvaged car.  Car came from IL. and was hit in drivers door.  I check with simple digital systems and they have already supplied computers for others with this engine.

Let's agree to call the Honda Fit an Organ Donor.

give me some time to strip it down, and I will have some more info. I will be using a Raven redrive when he releases it. Other than that I will convert myself.
