Well we have Good news and Bad news. The Good news first. THE total weight with most everything installed or in place is 695 lbs I expect this to change by about 50 lbs as paint and seats are installed. But that will be discovered on the final Weight and Balance.
Now the Bad news, the motor must move, this was expected as the 750 is in balance with the 0-200 and the Rotax 912 is alot lighter. I was hoping that we could get away with a 3 inch move which would allow me to use the same cowling. Unfortunately I must move the engine forward 6 inches. I have talked with Zenair and they are moving as fast as possible to make a new motor mount and change the FWF kit to reflect the new information. I hope to have a new mount in hand tomorrow and the cowling will come at a later time.

Why would you not use the new made in Germany rear ring engine mount, engine accessories and cowling Zenith offers for the CH701?

Good news indeed. 695 pounds sounds great to me!
