Bob, How much is "that much"?

I agree, Peter, that is why I was confused by the posting from Thomas Jackson on May 25. I will assume it is about a different subject but ended up here, somehow. Good luck on getting a clean belly.

By the way, that much oil coming out the breather may indicate a pressurized crankcase. Try putting a differential compression tester on each cylinder and have a helper listen at the breather tube outlet for hissing air. You might be pressurizing your crankcase with piston ring blow-by or something. It is normal to get some oil out of a breather, but not as much as you are describing.

In other words, you may not want to mask the problem with an air/oil seperator until you are sure it is not a symptom of a bigger problem.

Bob,  I don't think it would have any effect. The fuel venting is a separate issue.

How would a fuel tank vent problem put oil on the belly of the plane??

Thomas . . . AHH HA! That's what I'll try first.

PETER, it sound like a fuel tank vent problem. Somewhere back in the Zenair News (several years)  there was an article regarding the caps on 701's, if the 750 has the same vent cap the solution may apply, which was to drill a 1/16 inch hole through the outer shell  ONLY of the cap near the edge of both sides of the top surface. Also check that the holes (2) inside of the cap located in the center portion are clear and not restricted by metal from manufacturing,if clogged drill clear with an appropriate sized drill. More vent air is better thn less. There is an article in the July 2011 issue of KITPLANE on pages 28-35 which gives insight into the importance of proper venting of the fuel tank.

Dr. Donald, the site doesn't come up. But, thanks for trying!

Modify your crankcase vent elbow as shown on http://150Cessna.tripod.com/C150o200ainsp.html

It worked for my 0-200
