Hi Arthur and Randall,
I bought an Stol 701 disasembled the fuse and the wings, The previous owner doesn{t have the plans, I orderder the plans already. On the meantime I attached the wings to the fuse using new AN5-6A bolts. My question is,. How much is the torque value to adjust this bolts with the nuts Please help me with this, I appreciate your answers. Thanks
I'll bet I stared at that drawing for 20 minutes last Sunday and did not see it. After reading your response, it "jumped" right out at me. Must have been concentrating too hard. Thanks for the "
push".
hi Arthur, my plans ,page 7v-10 top of page says bolt an 5-6a, 8 required for strut to wing and fuse attach. living the dream wade reread and it is the same size for wing to fuse. be sure there is at least one thread sticking out of the nut after tightening. if not adjust washers with thinner or up the bolt size L. I put a tiedown angle on the forward upper strut to wing bolt so needed to up the bolt length. the washers come in std. thickness and thinner thickness.
