World's Shortest Runway?

This is Roger Dulac's runway in Quebec (Canada) that measures 100-feet long (30 metres)  by 12-feet (3.6 metres) wide that he built for his Zenith STOL CH 750 "Sky Jeep" light sport utility kit airplane. The all-metal two-seat airplane is powered by a turbo Rotax 914 (115 hp) engine.  Roger operates the airplane from his gravel and sand driveway / parking lot, and he poured the concrete slab runway to keep gravel away from the prop with his extremely short take-offs.

Roger says he had fun painting the numbers on the 100-foot slab to make it look like a runway: it worked! His friends think it's hilarious; his neighbors think he's crazy... now he's thinking about adding runway lighting...
(This is Roger Dulac's latest fun project; his last one was building a sailboat and sailing it to South America...)

While paved runways are nice (even short ones), they definitely aren't always needed!
