Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
For the past several years we've had EAA (the Experimental Aircraft Association) supply Zenith Aircraft branded shirts, hats, and other accessories through their retail outlets at AirVenture Oshkosh and on their website. This arrangement was to make Zenith branded apparel more readily available to Zenith builders and pilots, while also providing a regular supply of new shirt and cap designs (types and colors, as well as artwork), all while letting Zenith Aircraft focus on airplane kits instead of selling shirts and hats.
EAA has decided to continue supplying Zenith Aircraft branded apparel (mainly t-shirts and hats), but they want us to let them know what shirts and hats you are interested in buying and wearing. Let us know so that we can communicate that back to EAA. We want to offer the apparel that you want to proudly wear and EAA needs to carry inventory that will fly off its shelves, so we need your input!
Please let us know your favorite Zenith Aircraft shirt: What are your fabric preferences? What are your favorite shirt colors? What about the design and logo? Would you buy polos and other collared shirts? Women designs and kid sizes? What about outerwear?
Hats are another popular item. What types of hats do you want to wear? Preference with fabrics and styles?
Decals, magnets, and/or patches? Anything else you'd like to see (and buy) with the Zenith logo? Did you know that EAA currently sells Zenith Aircraft magnets and decals (below)?
What about decorative signs and other items for your workshop, office or man cave? Logo coffee cups, glasses or other items?
The idea is to offer Zenith Aircraft builders, pilots and enthusiasts with the branded Zenith apparel that they want buy and wear.
Please let us know in the comments section below your specific likes and dislikes. Also, indicate if you are willing and able to serve on an "ad hoc" advisory committee to advise us (and EAA) on desired apparel. The idea is to work on a suggested list of shirts, hats and accessories, and to suggest color and styles. We obviously can't offer everything, but we can work on a list of items that will appeal to vast majority of Zenith Aircraft builders, pilots and enthusiasts.
Some past t-shirts offered by EAA. What do you like and/or dislike about them?

Polo shirt with, as others have said, a small logo over the left breast.
I really don't like the Zenith hats. The big white panel with a design on it looks like you found some $0.59 hats on closeout and did an iron-on logo. Make the hats all one color, at least on the main head panels. Some color bars along the visor really look good. A style like just about any year of the Oshkosh year hats would be great. The hat with the red accents below are getting pretty close - it kind of diminishes the big white panel.
As others have said, I'd prefer something with a front (at least) that's understated, at least for a T shirt. The only shirts I buy at Oshkosh are the ones with the small Oshkosh AirVenture / year over the left breast, and then a theme on the back. That said, I *really* like the navy / orange 701 shirt shown here. Do one like that for the Cruzer and I'm sold. REALLY like what you've done with that one.
Again on shirts, I really don't like the shirts with a big square of all kinds of stuff; reminds me of the old Ed Roth Rat Fink T-shirts with the garish hot rods and a rat with its paw on a 4' gearshift. Unique designs that let the shirt background show thru (again, like the 701 shirt you show here) look great.
I hate white T-shirts. If you want a neutral color, go with athletic shirt gray. You have some black, but that shows too much lint, metal shavings, etc.
WRT decals, I'd like to see some. The small handouts are a bit too small, except for perhaps placing on a corner of the windows. Conversely, the large ones you have on the side of the demo's are a bit too big. Something about 10" wide would be nice to fit on the tail.
Would buy model-specific coffee cups if the artwork was clean enough. If that can't be done, a nice, non-white mug with the standard Zenith wing logo would be acceptable.
BBQ apron with the CH 750 image with caption “fly it like you STOL it
Dry fit fabrics please
I prefer the stock Zenith logo, “Zenith Aircraft” with the wings, and I prefer a smaller graphics/less flashy look. T-shirts, both short and long sleeves are always a great pick, and preferably a polo type collared short sleeve with a small version of the stock Zenith logo over the left chest, no pocket, would be nice. While I’m wishing, I think a quarter-zip longsleeve pullover with the stock small version Zenith logo would sell well. I’m not big on adding STOL or 701, 750, or 650 to the apparel, I think Zenith Aircraft on the shirt speaks for itself.
I’d like to see more CH650 specific hats and shirts with the Zenith logo.
How about hooded (no zipper) sweatshirts?
