At 11:14am on July 7, 2009, Phillip Owens said…: I have the jabiru 5100 180HP installed in my 801, and have saved the various molds that were needed for installation, I also designed and manufactured a dual throttle setup, an aluminum fuel rail, and intake air boxes to go along with the Bing carbys. We are just finishing the cowling which was also special design and layup due to the size and location of the engine. All will be available upon request if you are interested. Hope this will make life easier for someone else as it took some real time to develop all of these items. We also redesigned the exhaust system and it works fantastic. With the special designed Catto fixed 3-blade prop we are getting approx 800# of thrust.

I'm doing well, and still playing with the Zodiac, 130 hours and things are still great with the aircraft. Having a few engine issues though, which I am in the process of sorting out by installing a Lycombing style plemun. Will do a show and tell at Natfly.

Looking forward to catching up with you and the rest of the gang again for the Easter break, I'll probably get there for the Saturday, weather permitting.
