Just started flying, but love to build things. This seemed like a great project that could be done on my own time at home. I work for an electrical wholesale supply house.

HI Kevin,

I have a Lycoming 0235-N2C Engine with a Sensenich 2 Blade, Carbon Fiber Prop.  Model # 2EM6/C72AE.  The prop system has a hub where you can insert cartridges that set the pitch of the blades.  I started with a 50 pitch but just changed to a 60.  I have not flown yet on the new paitch but the static RPM dropped from over 3,200 to 2,475.  Lycoming states 2,800 Max RPM.  Everyone is telling me that when I am in the air my max RPM will increase so I am curios to see what it will be when I get back up in the air.

How far along are you?  All I can say is, "stick to it."  First flight makes it all worthwhile.  Anyone can go out and buy a plane but when you build your own...and then fly are in a very special club.

Hi Kevin.  I really don't use this site much nor do I use most social media.  We have almost completed our 601HDS, just the bubble left.  We are in Durham.  Stop by any time.  I belong to EAA 897 at Lake Ridge air park in Durham  8NC8.  There is a fellow who moved here from FL about a month ago and has a nice 650 with about 170 hrs on it.  Let me know off list if you want the contact or want to visit.  Best to email directly at:  Good luck phill

Hey Kevin, I'm back in Wilmington.  My regular email address is lets try to figure a time to get together, I'd really like to borrow your DVD's and see the plane!  Thanks!

Cool Kevin, I live on the south side of Wilmington, almost to Carolina Beach (Old Chimney).  I belong to the EAA, and belonged to the Stag Park chapter probably 15 years ago.  Haven't been up there in years.  I'd like to see your 650, I imagine a lot of the building techniques are similar to those in the 750.  You can reach me at 352-9693 Thanks man!
