Sounds like your pre-buy A&P earned his money.  If the A&P discovered unknown issues that changed your buying decision. I would say the pre-buy went VERY well.  You only get one chance to avoid purchasing a hot mess.  Once it’s signed over it’s YOUR mess.  Glad to hear you are joining the builder ranks!  You will know every inch of your 750........

The pre-buy inspection did not go well. Too many issues to consider a purchase. Paid off the A&P for the inspection and seller refunded my deposit.
I have decided to kit build the STOL CH750. I've ordered the rudder kit, tools and drawings. I think I'm going to enjoy this!

Thanks Neil. We are in the pre-buy stage without a current annual. I have an AP lined up for the pre-buy inspection. The AP may also issue a conditional so the plane can be ferried to my home base in Plattesmouth depending on the condition of the airplane. I am a student and this plane will serve as my trainer. I have a few hours in a 150 and I'm looking forward to learning to fly this plane.

Congratulations on your new 701. If you don't already have some time in a zenith STOL, do yourself a favor and get some transition training. They are great planes, but do fly somewhat differently than a traditional aircraft. Have fun with it!
