It’s good to know where the failures are occurring. I have about 10 hours on my 912ULS and only one actual flight.

Hello Perry . Both Rotax 912uls motors have had issues with valves. The first engine had the valve drop so hard that it caused an instant stoppage of engine. The second rotax had a valve failure , where the engine stayed running for about 4 minutes, at about 20 % power. I made the airport by 20 feet. I was four miles out. I believe the design of the 701 saved my life. flying slow with complete authority of control surfaces was my blessing. People say the 701 is the ugliest plane in the sky- OK, but it's the safest.
