gasoline stain on my plastic door window, not the bubble doors, the flat type of door. Is there a way to remove this stain . is it ruined?

If it is polycarbonate (Lexan), the stains are permanent.  I had a gasoline leak run down one of my polycarbonate windows and it left hazy white streaks.  This was not just on the surface, but penetrated into the plastic - no amount of polishing, etc., would remove it.  Since it was the window on the pilot's side, just behind my head, I couldn't see out of it anyway, so the only solution short of replacing the window was to black it out with a vinyl wrap to make it look better.  I did the passenger's side window, too, just for symmetry.
