Does anyone know of a company that can build a Garmin 240 wiring harness, and dynon wiring harness

By the way, my username is Rhino on the Dynon forum, and I'm there almost every day. I've been working avionics for 48 years.

I should also note that you aren't likely to find anyone with these cables in stock, and a lot places may not want to build them. Since every Experimental aircraft installation is unique, there is no standard harness that would cover everything, and they have no idea how long your cable runs should be, so many shops will simply refuse to do it unless they're building your entire panel. So, no matter what you do, you won't get a cable that's plug and play. It will basically have the GMA connectors, with wires coming out that you have to connect on your own. Even if you pay though the nose for a custom cable, you'll still have to fabricate much of it yourself. I'd personally start with a stock Garmin harness, since the GMA 240 has two 47 pin connectors that aren't as standard as the DB connectors Dynon uses. The wires from those connectors go to multiple locations where individual wires will have to be tied into other existing connectors. In essence, you aren't going to be able to get one pre-fab harness for the GMA 240 that you simply connect and go.

You can make your own. It isn't all that difficult, and it's much cheaper. Either way, you should ask this on the Dynon forum. That's what it's there for. If you decide to build a cable, I can help you out over there. If you're dead set against building your own, any avionics shop who builds Dynon panels should be able to do it for you. The users on the Dynon forum can give you advice on that as well. I build cables myself, so I don't have experience with harnesses from the pre-fab panel builders. Or, as Michael already posted, any avionics shop should be able to do it, if they're willing. Dynon doesn't build harnesses for non-Dynon equipment, which I'm guessing you already know, since you're asking this question here.

Hi Jerry,
I’d try dynon, garmin, pacific coast avionics, stien aire , a local airport avionics shop.

good luck!
