Zenith STOL CH 750 with drooped wing leading edge slats
We recently re-positioned the wing leading-edge slats for increased short take-off and landing (STOL) performance on the Zenith STOL CH750 "Sky Jeep" light sport utility kit airplane.

I wonder if they can make the slats removable? Run without slats when you want more speed and do not need to get into short fields and put the slats on when you do.

So to achieve this all you would have to do is add some kind of bracket "adapter" to the existing brackets? Or do you have to change something to the existing brackets? I'm also curious about any change to the current cruise speed!

The difference in cruise would be an interesting statistic to publish? And what amount of drop would be required on the CH801 being the larger design? Would it be the same 38mm drop? Or is it a calculated value based on the wing dimensions?

Very interesting. It appears that you have added an extension to the slat brackets, will you be making the dimensions for that available for use on the 701 as well?

TO looks impressive, but couldn't see a difference in landing. Would love to see some video of this plane's performance over 50 ft obstacles, TO and L, and how close, yet safe, one can be from the obstacles, i.e., STOL in a true short field scenario rather than on a long, clear concrete runway. No criticism of this great design here, just want to see what the 'field' improvement is from the previous slat arrangement. Also we need to know what motor - the C-200, or UL, or?
