To address the most important question: The runway was always within reach. My standard technique is to pull the throttle to idle when abeam the numbers.

I liked it, but if there's any way to improve the audio a bit, it would be much better. Also, your delivery could use a little improvement--not quite Voice of America, but work on breath control, maybe shorter sentences to give yourself a chance to replenish the air in your lungs so you can avoid getting a bit breathless.
On landings, would there have been any point in your approach where you could not have made the runway if the engine quit?
