Ok, now that is a cool trick. How do you explain what is going on with the string on the flap? I would love to see the behavior change as the flaps are slowly lowered. I would also like to see the behavior change with a speed change.

I was looking for fun! I have done a lot of wind tunnel testing during my aerospace career and wanted to do this for myself.
The spanwise flow inboard was interesting as well as the reverse flow down into the flap hingeline.
