Flight of reflection and remembrance
This was a flight of remembrance and reflection about all my mother has given me in life. She taught that mistakes were not failure but life lessons and motivation to get better. She insisted that my dreams were worth going after and that only through determination, perseverance and true grit could those dreams be realized. Most importantly, mom taught me how to belly laugh until I cried and how to love deeply.
I spent the past 6-months helping mom in her journey through hospice. It was the single most painful, yet beautiful experienced in my life. When my time comes, I hope I am fortunate enough to have someone I love help guide me through the same journey.
In this video, I am flying my Zenith STOL CH750, which was a kit plane I built over a 7-year period. It is my pride and joy and is my "happy place" to share with others. Mom never got a chance to fly with me but she always loved to listen to my flying stories and was so very proud of everything I have done in life. She was my greatest fan!

Very Nice. I make it a point every year to do something that my Dad would have enjoyed on his birthday. Hopefully this flight will be a tradition for you.

Finally got some clear weather and flew for nearly 4-hours yesterday looking for elk. Spent majority of the past 6-months helping my mom navigate through hospice so it was a particularly enjoyable flight and breathtakingly beautiful. Lots of reflection and remembrance going on, which is exactly what I think she would have hoped for.
Nothing quite like the CH750 when it comes to low and slow and taking in the views!
