Flew it with slats on and off and added VG's for the last 20 hours. Made a few observations but nothing scientific just seat of the pants.
It lifts off a little quicker with slats. Flies nicer plus picks up about 9 mph without. On extreme full stick back takeoff, it had a tendency to do a tongue roll on takeoff.. Could have been very ugly with lower time pilot. This was the first flight using VG's and slats. Really couldn't tell the difference than with just slats. Conclusion, I like slats for bush kind of flying and would take them off if you are into less max performance or buy a cruder instead. Just my thoughts
