Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
July the 8th was a great day to do some sightseeing in my amateur-built float plane. The lake was just like a mirror, very hard to land because you have no sense of how high off the water you are. I had to radio my friend to take his speed boat out to make some waves so I could land safely. It was a great day for flying.

There 1450s. they weigh about 180 lbs once you have the tubes and rigging included. They feel quite safe but maybe the 1260 full lotus would be just as good and save about 20 lbs. I got my float endorsement last summer so I'm pretty new to float flying and the extra buoyancy of the 1450s sure helps.
