Headed out to the hangar after work this evening. Really the first nice day we've had all week with temp in the low 70's and wind not gusting like it has been all week. Wind was directly down runway 1 this evening at just 5 knots so I did a little more high speed taxi testing. Last weekend I had a crosswind to contend with when doing this so this evening was much more conclusive in getting a feel for how my plane tracked on the runway at speed. My Corvair oil pressure, oil temp, and CHT temps were all where I hoped they would be after a few trips down the runway this evening.

Hi Jerold, glad to share it and that you enjoyed the video. I suppose the fist pumps and yelling will come when I get her airborne for the first time. Dave

Dave, Gave me a rush just watching the great video from over your shoulder. I have a ways to go to get to the point  in the build to be where you are, but these kind of posts keep me going out in the shop. Keep posting the video. How about a little fist pump or a bit of exuberant yelling.   Jerry

Definitely was exciting to feel the lift and get a feel for how responsive the controls are at this low speed. Found it was fairly easy to travel down the runway on just the mains keeping the nose up.

Cool !   I'll bet it was real exciting the first time the nose lifted off.
